Morrone Web Design: Redesign

Design. Redesign. Reredesign. Publish.

I like to redesign my web site every 4 days. I do not know why, I guess I will never be satisfied with the look or feel of it. I don't have all the time in the world to be meticulous about it, but I do like to have a few key points on it as I think all websites should. This comes with years of web design experience let me tell you ;)

One: About Us Section

The most important section to me would be the 'about us'. As in any site the about me personalizes your site. It is a great opportunity to let the visitor know about you on a more personal level. Sure you offer great services but giving some insight as to what type of person you are gives the user a sense of comfort. Trust me, be yourself in this section it helps a lot when it comes to buy time for the client.

Two: Services/Products

You have to specify what you do. Whether its cut lawns to develop chips that go inside of cell phones you need to be specific to what you do. This is important for two reasons. Reason one is you let the visitor know what you do, and also what you don't do. Be very specific for that reason alone. But secondly and arguably more important is when you write any text into your site that can be read, it is read by search engines. So when you say that you 'design web sites in Youngstown', Google, Yahoo, and others all log that your site 'www.morronewebdesign.com' does this: 'design web sites in Youngstown'. Then when a user is searching for 'web design' they may stumble across your site.

This idea of word use on your site plays a huge role in marketing with Google AdWords and even AdSense. I will talk more about these in the future.

Three: Contact Us

How can you market without a way to contact. You would be surprised how many times I come accross a site that has no contact information. It is the worst form of marketing ever, period. You will honestly lose customers this way. They looked for you, found you, but then couldn't contact you. You need to keep this on your page.

Youngstown Web Design

Looking for Web Design in Youngstown. You found it.

If you are looking for web design for your business or company in the Youngstown area, you have found the right place. Although this is just my blog you can find information here about what I do. Let me start by saying I have been a web designer for over 7 years. Working with graphics, photography, video, flash, web design, shopping carts, paypal, and ebay, I have developed the tools to not only get a website up and running, but drive users to your site and turn visits, into sells. I am currently working full time at Youngstown State University as the University Web Developer/Interactive Media Designer, and hoping to get my masters withing the next few years. I am a graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh with a B.S. in Interactive Media Design.

Some Web Design Work in Youngstown

One of my latest projects, www.correctgrip.com is an online ecommerce store for a local company out of Canfield, Ohio. The Correct Grip Golf Glove is a glove designed to help improve your golf grip, swing, and game. Using Google AdWords I are able to drive hits from the search giant Google, as well as topic related sites that utilize Google AdSense. Not only are we making sells locally in Youngstown, but we are generating over 1200 hits from all 50 states on a montly basis. Paypal is integrated into the site which allows for instant payment notification and use of a trusted secure payment method. Paypal basically takes care of all the credit card transactions and using a direct deposit method, the revenue from the site goes directly into the business bank account. It is a very simple set up.
